IntroductionIf you like giant robots and mech battles, then you have probably heard of the new iOS title – Walking War Robots. In this MMO game you take control of powerful robots trying to capture beacons and destroy enemies. There are 11 robot types and 15 weapon types at your disposal. By combining them you can reach different firepower and devastating effects. Sounds pretty simple, but in fact there are some tactical tricks you need to know to succeed on the battlefield.
Laser Weapon GEKKO XXTechnical characteristics: Aiming type: Direct aim Hit: 1757 (max. hit in the shortest distance and maximal heat 3415) Fire rate: 0,1/sec Reload: 10 sec Range: not limited (effective range is up to 500м) Slot type: light Max level: 8 Available at: level 4 GEKKO XX is effective if it is targeted on one point for a long time or when it is used together with other weapons of this type. To say it simple, the longer the enemy robot is under laser attack, the more it is heated and the quicker it loses its hit ability. GEKKO XX is best effective in defense, where your best combination is a heavy robot named Natasha with two laser weapons. This way you can keep your enemy from reaching beacons and/or talking advantageous position. If you decide to use GEKKO XX in attack, then you need to use it together with two or three of your allies. Direct all your laser weapons on one enemy till it is melted.
Cannon weapon ECC ThunderTechnical characteristics: Aiming type: Direct aim Hit: 7540 (max. 14620 on the minimum distance) Reload: 10 seconds Range: 500m (most effective range is 200m) Slot Type: heavy Max Level: 8 Available at: level 5 ECC Thunder is effective in close combat battles both in attacks and defenses. Use ECC Thunder with Natasha if you are defending, while robot Boa with EC Thunder is better in attacks.
ShieldTechnical characteristics: Hit ability: 49766 (178322 when used on the max level) Slot type: ordinary (hand) Max level: 8 Available at: level 3 In addition to weapons, robots can be equipped with shield. In close combats the shield is extremely effective in use with robot Leo and weapon GAU Punisher T and EСС Thunder. Shield is an ideal tool if you need to push your enemy both in attacks and defenses. Shield is your secret weapon against direct-aim weapons. Once you are under attack, just stay steel and all the shoots will be caught by shield, not you.
New Yamantau MapThe new map in Walking War Robots is called Yamantau. To prepare this map, designers were inspired by a real Mount Yamantau in the southern part of Ural. The main battle here starts for the 5th beacon located between two bridges relatively far from the landing places of both teams. To reach this beacon invisibly, try to jump off the way and go on the real mountain surface. The best robots for such maneuvers are light robots Cossack and Rogatka.
